Antonio Llard\u00e9n is an Industrial Engineer and studied at the Higher Technical School of Industrial Engineering of the Polytechnic University of Catalonia in Barcelona.<\/a><\/strong> He has been the Chairman of Enag\u00e1s<\/a><\/strong> since 2007.<\/p>\n

\"\"He also holds the office of Chairman of the Foundation for Energy and Environmental Sustainability (Funseam)<\/a><\/strong>, comprising the main companies operating in the energy market in Spain.He has also been appointed Chair of the Social Council of the University of Barcelona (UB).<\/p>\n

He is a Trustee of the Elcano Royal Institute of International and Strategic Studies<\/a><\/strong> (chaired by His Majesty King Felipe VI of Spain), of the Princess of Girona Foundation<\/a><\/strong> (whose Honorary President is H.R.H. ThePrincess of Asturias and Girona).\u00a0 He is also a member of the Spanish Business Council for Sustainable Development and the CEOE Business Action Council.<\/p>\n

Throughout his career he has held various senior positions in the infrastructure and energy sectors at institutions and companies such as Gas Natural (currently Naturgy). He has been Chairman of the gas employer Sedigas<\/a><\/strong>, and a member of the Board of Directors of Eurogas<\/a><\/strong> and of the Executive Committee of the International Gas Union (IGU)<\/a><\/strong>, as well as being a member of the Executive Committee and the Spanish Energy Club Management Board. He has also chaired the LNG World Congress.<\/p>\n

He has been Dean of the College of Engineers; member of the Social Council of the Autonomous University of Barcelona <\/a><\/strong>and Chairman of its Economic Commission.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Throughout his career he has been a member of the Boards of Directors of institutions and companies such as Telef\u00f3nica, the Instituto Nacional de Industria, the Instituto de Cr\u00e9dito Oficial and the Empresa Nacional de Residuos Radiactivos.<\/p>\n

He is a Knight of the National Order of the Legion of Honour of France, the highest award granted by France for eminent merits in service to the country, and has been awarded the Tiepolo Prize, jointly awarded by the Italian Chamber of Commerce and Industry for Spain (CCIS) and the CEOE<\/strong><\/a> for his work in the integration and development of economic and commercial relations between Italy and Spain. In 2025, he received an Honorary Mention for his professional career awarded by the Colegio Oficial de Ingenieros Industriales de Madrid (COIIM).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
